Seton Youth Shelters Holds âThrough the Looking Glass: Home for the Holidaysâ Annual Fashion Show & Luncheon, at Princess Anne Country Club on November 16th
Virginia Beach, VA â On November 16th, 2017, Seton Youth Shelters will present its 23rd Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon to take you âThrough the Looking Glass: Home for the Holidays,â held at the historic Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach. The event promises a fashion adventure from winter casual attire to travel-and-resort-friendly separates and Knock-out Couture for that unforgettable New Yearâs Eve along with fashions sure to drop jaws and turn heads at Setonâs May 6, 2018 âA Silks & Irons Soiree Kentucky Derby Celebration.â
âThrough the Looking Glass: Home for the Holidaysâ begins at 11 a.m. with a cocktail hour, health and beauty expo, a fabulous holiday-ready silent auction and live tunes by Frank Sinatra crooner Frank Cubillo. After a 12 p.m. seated lunch, our models glide along the runway in breathtaking designs by leading regional retailers and local designers and boutiques. This year, we are pleased to again feature WTKR NEWS3 anchor Barbara Ciara as our Mistress of Ceremonies and DJ Silver spinning our runway music. âThrough the Looking Glass: Home for the Holidaysâ is at a most wonderful time of the year, the week before Thanksgiving and beginning of the holiday season! Many of our guests use the Fashion Show to begin their holiday shopping.
Last yearâs show was a sell-out with record attendance, and our biggest holiday wish is to have another sell-out crowd for this special afternoon. We are also still accepting sponsorships, and sponsoring means having your name and brand presented to our guests as a charitable partner of our organization, along with the opportunity for you to gain exposure to a highly desirable and receptive audience.
Sponsorship and proceeds from this unique and exciting fashion showâone of our signature fundraisersâmake it possible for Seton Youth Shelters to fulfill its mission of providing a safe haven, counseling and outreach services, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, without charge, to youth in crisis throughout Hampton Roads, with the goal of reuniting families. Each year hundreds of boys and girls, ages 9-17, arrive at our two Virginia Beach residential sheltersâoften in the middle of the night, sometimes with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Our professional staff welcomes them with food, shelter, clothing, school supplies and the counseling and support necessary for them to either return to their families or continues on to another safe, home environment. Setonâs Street Outreach Program vans, operated by our professional staff teams, drive the streets of our region, reaching out to thousands of youth on the streets, offering food, hygiene items, counseling, and shelter optionsâa lifeline for this vulnerable population. Our Mentoring Children of Prisoners program gives children of incarcerated parents the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential.
